With the support of MMWD Board Member Larry Bragman, Access4Bikes and MCBC are working together for a Broom bust on Saturday April 2.
Volunteers will focus on containing the spread of French and Scotch broom monocultures and also eradicate pioneer patches. Habitat restoration begins at 9am. Substantial sandwiches follow field work at noon.
This project requires a mile hike or ride uphill to the project site on Worn Springs Fire Road. Carpooling and biking encouraged. The gate at Natalie Coffin Greene Park will be open until 9am to allow cars to drive up and park next to the dam. Visit MMWD’s Google Map for more information and directions. RSVP encouraged but not required.
